A Run time error -214 NNN NNNN, automation error, the specified module is not found occurs.  Error might also be similar to “Load Library Failed.”  The error occurs when using the Word document or Outlook e-mail features in Design Manager SE6 or generally when a program interfaces with MS Office.

 

This problem is believed to be caused by un-installing/removing Norton AntiVirus from the computer.  It also might be caused by a failed or damaged Microsoft Office installation.

 

To solve the problem try these two steps.

 

  1. Install all Microsoft Office Service Packs using Office Update; there is a link to Office Update through Windows Update.  Re-boot the computer.

 

  1. If #1 fails to resolve the problem, un-install Microsoft Office and Re-install.  Then put on all Office service packs, reboot computer and try again.
