Best printers to purchase for use with Design Manager Cloud Services

Design Manager uses Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 to host its cloud services.  Although almost every modern printer works in this environment, some will support more features and operate more smoothly and faster than others. 

Design Manager recommends Hewlett Packard (HP) printers because they have the largest line of printers that support the Citrix environment.  When a printer lists Windows Server 2008/2012 R2/2012 as one of the supported operating systems, it is great choice. 

Models Design Manager Recommends:

HP Officejet Pro 8600

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus

HP Officejet Pro 7500A Wide-Format

Other recommended printer manufacturers are:

Brother, Canon, Fuji/Xerox, Dell/Lexmark, Konica/Minolta, Kyocera, Okidata

Make sure that model you choose supports Windows Server 2008 R2.

Epson, on the other hand, is one of the only companies that does NOT sell any printers supported in the Citrix Environment (although many of their printers do work or can be made to work with a few simple setting changes).
