Export your Apple Calendar for use with the Design Manager Time Import function

To export your Apple Calendar for use with the Time Import function, choose one of the options below and follow the directions for that option:

  • Apple Calendar ? using your Mac computer desktop or laptop (not iCloud login)
  • iCloud Calendar ? using the iCloud webpage that can be found on any operating system (no Mac computer needed)

Apple Calendar ONLY (for iCloud Calendar, see iCloud Calendar help further below)

  1. Open the Calendar app on your Mac computer.
  2. Click on the Calendar?s name that you wish to export.
  3. Choose File ? Export ? Export.
  4. Choose a location to save the file and select Export.


  5. Once the ICS file is downloaded, you can use that file to import into the Design Manager Time Import
  • NOTE: When you export your ics file, the entire calendar selected will export.  To import specific dates into Design Manager, we suggest that you use the Date Range function on the Time Import window.

iCloud Calendar ONLY (not for use with Mac computer Calendar app)

  1. Go to www.icloud.com and sign in using your Apple ID login and password.
  2. Select the Calendar app.
  3. Click on the Calendar?s name that you wish to export. Click on the Calendar Sharing button.
  4. Make the Calendar Public (if not already).
  5. Highlight and Copy (Command + C) the entire web address that appears above the Email Link option.
  6. Paste (Command + V) the address into a new web window (open an internet browser and paste what you copied into the address field).
  7. Change the beginning of the address from webcal: to http:
  8. Click Enter to go to the page.
  9. You should be asked to open or save the file; select to save it in a location that you will know where to find it.
  10.  Once the ICS file is downloaded, you can use that file to import into the Design Manager Time Import.
    • NOTE: When you export your ics file, the entire calendar selected will export.  To import specific dates into Design Manager, we suggest that you use the Date Range function on the Time Import window.
