In order for Design Manager to function properly on a network all users that run Design Manager must have full control of the Design Manager Installation directory for both the NTFS and Share-level permissions.  To check/change these settings, log into the server as the Administrator.  Right-click on the Design Manager Folder and choose Properties…

Click on the Sharing Tab, make sure that the folder is set to “Share this folder,” click on the Permissions Button…

Highlight each user that uses Design Manager and make sure that the Full Control box is checked under Allow…

Click on OK on the Permissions Window, click on the Caching button.  Make sure the option is set to make files NOT available offline

Click on OK on the Offline Settings Window, click on the Security Tab.  Highlight each user and make sure that the Full Control box is checked under Allow...

Click on the Advanced button and make sure “Allow inheritable permissions from parent…” is set.

Click OK to save each window.
