Rolling back Citrix Workspace version for MacOS

Modified on Thu, Oct 10 at 12:43 PM

Some MacOS versions can get "stuck" with a popup when launching Design Manager.

To resolve this issue, the current Citrix Workspace app should be uninstalled, then re-installed from the link below, and then automatic updates set to: OFF to prevent the problematic version from being downloaded again.

First, browse to this link and download Citrix Workspace App v2405.11 by clicking Download File

https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/legacy-receiver-for-mac/workspace-app-for-mac-latest16.html

Next, look for the link to reach your downloads (there are multiple ways to reach the downloads folder) and double-click on the Citrix WorkspaceApp.dmg

Click on Uninstall Citrix Workspace and follow the prompts to remove the current version

After uninstall is complete, go back to the Workspace installer and click Install Citrix Workspace

All default choices are OK.  On the last installation window, click the checkbox to Add Account

Enter in the server name:  https://login.designmanager.com

Next, enter in your Design Manager username and password.

Look for the Citrix Workspace app, typically running in the top right toolbar near the system clock.  Click the Citrix icon, and then the Preferences button

Click the >> arrows and then Advanced

Uncheck the box to 'Automatically keep Workspace app up to date' and then close the window.

That should complete the reinstallation, and allow you to sign in via the web portal at:
