Cash Drawer Installation Instructions

The CR3003 cash drawer has been pre-assembled to make the installation as simple as possible.

Step 1: Installation

  • Remove the cash drawer from its shipping container
  • Remove the keys and interface cable from its plastic bag
  • Connect the included RJ11 connector (phone jack) of the interface cable to the cash drawer back panel
  • Connect the USB connector of the interface cable to the computer USB port

Step 2: Driver Installation

  • Go to http://logiccontrols.com/support/product-drivers/ and select the proper version of the CR3000 Cash Drawer USB driver for your operating system. Once downloaded, double-click the install.bat to install the driver
  • After installation, go to Device Manager, to check that the cash drawer has been installed correctly. Look under the "Ports (COM & LPT)" section and take note of the assigned COM port name for the Cash Drawer; ie: COM4. You will see the Cash Drawer listed as “LCI Programmable Cash Drawer with USB Port” followed by the port number

Step 3: Setting up and Testing the Cash Drawer from ProCloud

  • Log in to Pro Cloud

  • Go to the Accounting Tab, Accounts Receivable frame and click the Point of Sale button

  • Click on the Drawer button to test the Cash Drawer

  • Prompt will appear asking for the COM port

  • Enter the COM Port that Windows has assigned to the Cash Drawer (Step #2 from the Driver Installation previously)

  • In the example below, the Cash Drawer is installed on COM5. Using this example you would type COM5 into the Window and select OK

  • Prompt will now appear for the Cash Drawer Code. The default Code is set to: 1234. Type the Code into that Window and select Ok. If the Drawer opens, you are ready to begin using the Cash Drawer!
