Steps to install Zebra
Step 1: Download Zebra software:
Do not plug in the printer until the driver is installed.
ZDesigner V8 for Windows is required from this link:
Step 2: Install and Configure
- DO NOT plug in the printer via USB until instructed to do so by the Zebra installation.
Double-click on the downloaded Zebra installer
USB Port connection is typically the best choice for connectivity.
Complete the Zebra installation Wizard.
Next, open the windows control panel and choose Devices and Printers.
Right-click on ZDesigner ZD421-203dpi ZPL, Choose Printing Preferences
Set the Width to 2.252 and hit OK. If you have a custom label size, you may enter the dimensions in this menu.
Use the Zebra control panel to print a test label from Windows to confirm paper type is correctly calibrated.
Step 3: Print a test label from Design Manager
- Open up DM Pro cloud, choose Inventory > Inventory Reports > Stock Item
- Verify the Report Format is the correct dimensions, and your have the ZDesigner ZD421 selected
- Hit OK and you will preview and print your label.
